We have specialists who choose carefully the tents and implements to be used during your trip to make it an unforgettable and pleasant experience.Below we will show you the characteristics and attributes of our camping equipment. Our tents are of the proffesional brand Doite (Kayla and Pro Aconcagua) designated for 4 seasons. We provide with 3 person capacity tents; however, just 2 trek participants use it! In this way, we provide you more space and comfort. In case of a single traveller, we provide with a 2 person capacity tent. After each trek, we carefully check our tents and fix them if necessary!

We use dining tents made of waterproof and cold-resistant materials having two side doors. Their capacity is 16 persons.We choose our tent thinking about one of the most important steps for any camper. We offer you an exclusive, safety and comfortable tent, where we will enjoy our delicious dishes during our adventures. Advantages of our dining tent

  • They preserve the temperature better if they have double ceiling to the floor Because of their shape, they offer less resistance to the wind (they move less when there is a lot of wind)

  • Do not require a completely level ground or all the winds set to stand and without getting wet inside
  • They support more rustic deals (special for boys and preteens who do not care much things)

Our bathroom facilities are safe and sanitary and ready to be used wherever it is necessary. We use the Cleanwaste Complete GO toilet system providing you with privacy and safety! Moreover, we use biodegradable fillings that contribute to our eco-friendly approach!! If you are planning a trek, hike or some outside tours, don't worry about it, our Toiled Tent has a clean interiors, is climate controlled, ecofriendly and very confortable.

Sleeping Bags

Sleeping Bags:

We use only feather sleeping bags that are suitable up to minus 15°C. This means you do not need to be worry about cold as temparature at night at each trek reaches just up to 0°C (maximum -5°C)!! How we choose our sleeping bag? There are 3 important points that we keep in mind when we choose our sleeping bags :

  • The temperature range: it is the temperature at which the sleeping will provide a thermal support in the place that is camping. Some important questions to ask are: where will we go? Regularly in what climate or temperature does camping ?.
  • The weight: The weight in the camping equipment is an important variable, since depending on the activity, you will need to load the weight of the equipment, and the lighter will be more convenient.
  • The volume of packaging: The volume is also important because when the sleeping is very compact, it will allow to save space in the backpack, taking advantage of the extra space for other things.

For these reasons rest assured a comfortable stay that will not disturb your sleep hours.

We provide with inflatable mattresses of the brand Therm-A-Rest. The mattresses are 3 cm heigh that will ensure you a sufficient isolation from the cold earth! Our therm Mattresses are durable, confortable and lightweight. They do not absorb moisture and there is no risk of puncturing it. Thanks to the foam inside they feel more stable than other mats and are more comfortable and compact than foam. They offer good insulation, are easy to inflate and can be adjusted to the degree of comfort. They have a very compact volume of transport, can adjust to taste the degree of padding and to have a greater thickness irregularities of the terrain are not major problem.

Choose a Date

Step One: Check Availability

Make sure to book well in advance. Confirm that there are still available spots in our group and reserve as early as possible since our tour departure dates are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your entry date into Peru. If you do not have a valid passport or plan to renew it before coming to Peru, please refer to our FAQ and Booking & Conditions page for more information.

Select your preferred date or join us on any of the fixed departure dates (we need 02 people to open a new departure date). Rest assured that we will never transfer you to another operator, as most travel agencies do here. (They share transportation, food, guides, cooks, and porters) to minimize costs, which is why many charge less than us. They focus on sharing with other companies. But Quechuas Expeditions will organize the tour even if the group consists of only 02 people.

Step two: Verify your personal information and make a reservation

Complete our Inca Trail reservation form (see attachment). Do not make a reservation until you have all the details below. We cannot accept a reservation without all names, nationalities, passport numbers, and ages:

For any Inca Trail reservation, the following client information is required:

  • Full names (exactly as they appear on your passport)
  • Passport nationality
  • Passport number
  • Date of birth
  • Gender

IMPORTANT NOTE: The exact information you provide will be submitted to the Government Institution (INC) in charge of regulating access to the Inca Trail and will be included in the official permit for the requested entry date.

If any changes to the information above occur (e.g., passport number change), please inform your travel advisor by email as soon as possible. The government reserves the right to deny entry to any visitor whose details do not match exactly with the official permit. Quechuas Expeditions Tours assumes no responsibility for denied entry if the passenger’s information changes without prior notice.

Step Three: Trek Deposit

To book the Inca Trail with us, clients must make a deposit. Please note that the program deposit is non-refundable. Without an initial payment, your Inca Trail trek is not confirmed.

Payments can be made via Western Union, PayPal, or Bank Transfer (Western Union is the fastest and most secure payment method in Peru).

Step Four: Trip Invoice Confirmation

We will send you a trip invoice for the trek and deposit (with the signature of our travel advisor) once we receive all the above requirements. Please print this document to present it at our office in Cusco.

NOTE: Before departing for Peru, it is advisable to inform your bank that you will be traveling to Peru so you do not encounter issues with your credit/bank cards while abroad. Remember that the daily withdrawal limit in Peru may be lower than your usual limit in your home country.

Pre-Trek Briefing

A pre-departure briefing; One or two days before departure, our representative in Cusco will contact clients at their hotels, where they will meet their guide. The guide will provide information and answer any questions regarding your Inca Trail program. We need to know where clients will be staying and their arrival date.

You will meet with your group and guide, and any rental equipment (such as sleeping bags and duffel bags) will be provided if you have requested an extra porter. The actual time of your briefing (6 or 7 p.m.) will be confirmed at your office check-in 2 days before the trek.

If you do not have an operator in Cusco, our office can assist with reconfirming any domestic flights to Lima or other cities. Please inquire for more details when making your reservation.

  • What about the luggage I don’t need during the trip?

We suggest you leave any luggage you don’t need for the hike at your hotel. Nearly all hotels in Cusco have a secure storage area where you can keep your belongings, and they won’t charge you for this service if you return to the same hotel after your trek. However, if they don’t have a storage area, we also have a place where you can leave it with us. Please let us know.

 

  • How much do the sleeping mat and sleeping bag weigh?

  • What equipment is provided for the Inca Trail?

We provide sleeping tents (four-season aluminum tents for two people each, with a capacity of 3 people and 10), dining tents, tables, chairs, bathroom tents, kitchen equipment, water purifiers, Thermarest air mattresses, and other camping gear. Our supplier purchases top-quality equipment in Peru, and older gear is regularly assessed and replaced as needed.

 

  • How is the food on the Inca Trail?

A cook accompanies each group on the Inca Trail, and travelers frequently praise the delicious menu. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and ample snacks are provided for your hike. Meals are a mix of local specialties and international favorites. See our Inca Trail menu for details. Vegetarian meals are available upon request, and most other special dietary needs can be accommodated with sufficient notice. (You will never go hungry with us—there will be plenty of food!)
