According to the time and your feeling, you can coordinate with the tour guide a climb to Huayna Picchu (Young Mountain). This climb takes around 1 hour to get to the summit from where you can have the best view for photos of all of Machu Picchu. Also enjoy the deep green canyons surrounding the sacred Inca City. After that, it will be time to descend to Machu Picchu and then have free time to explore on your own. Near midday, we will board a tourist bus to descend to Aguas Calientes town. Most people automatically assume that the weather is hot in South America, but because of the higher altitude in the Andes, the temperature can feel quite cold, especially at night. We recommend the use of a duffel bag or backpack, whichever is easiest for you to carry. A good size daypack is also essential.
